Sleeping Double In A Single Bed

From the Seattle Times: Couples Struggle To Find Harmony Between The Sheets
Bedding down with another can be cozy, or a challenge. Mostly it's both. So says a professor with a new book — one of few, if there are in fact others, on the subject. The results the professor found? Every couple has their own preferred way of sharing a bed.
"Two in a Bed: The Social System of Couple Bed Sharing" examines what happens after the "good nights" are said but before the alarm jangles and you find yourself tangled in sheets, your mate and a snoring dog.
In addition to the Classic Spoons position — nestled together, front-to-back — Thomas named 38 others including the Cliffhanger, with hands dangling over the edge; the Tetherball, just one outstretched arm touching; and Paper Dolls, both on backs, one hand and foot in contact. (For a fun quiz on your pose, go to www.evany.com/sleeptest.) [If you take the sleep test, just answer question two and keep the pithy comments to yourself. Ditto for question six. ~ ed.]
As for me, I like snuggling...until it's time to go to sleep, then I want to separate. Not because I feel uncomfortable, but because I tend to move around while I'm asleep and I'm afraid I'll make my bedmate uncomfortable.
FYI: My sleep pose is "The Bubble Blower"
Find your own pose!
Bubble Blower Traits and Tendencies: Bubble Blowers live in a constant state of reinvention. They thrive on trying new things — foods, countries, careers — and their look is always changing (from mod to soup dragon to robot chic). This endless string of transformations would be disorienting if it weren't for the one constant in their lives: the reconnection they find night after night in The Bubble Blowers pose.
Comfort Zone: The Bubble Blower is a Sea pose. Other Sea poses a Bubble Blower might explore: Cliffhanger and The Colon.
A Tip about Preparing for the Pose: The Bubble Blower is a classic Sea pose, meaning its focus is on symmetry and synchronicity. To deepen the experience of the pose, try playing the Mirror Game (sit knee-to-knee and maintain eye contact as slowly you move your hands, heads, necks, and midriffs in concert) in the hour before bedtime.

Exactly, Kevin. I can’t sleep with someone attached to me. My back troubles last year began when I tried to accommodate Cuddly McCuddles.
Cuddly McCuddles? =)
Classic Spoons, oddly enough.
The thing that drives my partner and me crazy is our different body temperatures; his varies with the seasons, and mine is always stuck on "ROAST". During the winter, it's nice, because we hold temperature perfectly for each other's comfort; however, during the summertime, we can't hold onto each other for more than a minute at a stretch.
What the heck is a "soup dragon"?

Good question, doogers.
